The big moment arrives...

Karen went into labor at about 4:00 PM on Sunday. Her and her mom were out shopping at the time when the contactions started coming (7 min apart).

They came home, made dinner, packed up (we all ate) and then we went to the hospital. Dave took the scenic way and Karen thought he was lost but in reality, it gave us just enough time to come up with a name - Daniel James...

The new proud (and exhausted!) mom and her doctor. They both did an outstanding job.

O.K., it's a little graphic but that's how the little guys look when they are first born, it is all quite natural. Dave got a little lightheaded during the whole ordeal. The nurse had to bring him two grape drink juices and he was sweating a but he did stay in the room the entire time...
